Is your vehicle constantly fighting with Mother Nature?

Posted 10/20/2015

  • Birds have more extreme acidic and corrosive irritants to your car in their bird droppings. Our Ultimate plan includes three waxes and a protectant, which preserves a vehicle's clear coat surface to defend against those pesky bird droppings!
  • Leaves and tree sap are loaded with pollen and other acidic coatings that transfer to the vehicle and stain the paint when left for long periods of time.
  • Pollen is another constant irritant that leaves your car covered in a film that can lead to damage of your clear coat.
  • Bugs seem to never go away and the longer you leave the bug residue on your car the more damage to your paint and the harder it is to get rid of the splat.
  • Brake dust and road grime can be difficult to remove if left on your rims too long, and our wheel protectant helps repel brake dust and contaminants and provide a polymer sealant to the wheels.

Car Interior Cleaning Tips

Ballin’ on a Budget: Baird Brothers Style

At Baird Brothers Express Car Wash, we’re all about keeping your car looking great without breaking the bank. Check out these awesome, affordable tips for keeping your vehicles interior looking just as good as the outside. Try out these super easy tricks while you’re using our free vacuum stations!

1.      Glass Cleaner – Glass cleaner is safe to spray on almost all types of upholstery and carpeting, and works on even the most difficult stains. Just spray it on, let it sit, the blot away. The best part? It won’t leave residue that most carpet cleaners leave behind!

2.      Hairspray – Hairspray will lift out ink stains. Just spray on, let it sit, and vacuum the stains away. You may have to repeat this process to fully remove the stain.

3.      Salt – Salt will also remove ink stains from your carpet. Use the same process as the hairspray method.

4.      Baking Soda – A little bit of baking soda and a damp rag goes a long way on vinyl seats. Pour a small amount of baking soda on the rag and wipe the seats down. Wipe away baking soda with a clean rag.

5.      Shoe Polish – Liquid shoe polish will keep your rubber mats looking new. Rinse with water, let dry, and apply polish. This will also make future cleaning sessions much easier!

6.      Borax – 20-Mule Team Borax will freshen up the interior of your car and get rid of unpleasant smells. Sprinkle on carpet, let it sit, and vacuum up.

7.      Glass Cleaner 2 – Glass cleaner can also be used to polish your headlights. Spray on and rub clean with a pair of old stockings.

8.      Scrubbing Bubbles – Scrubbing Bubbles is a great, safe way to clean your leather seats. Just apply and wipe with a damp rag. This method should only be done on occasion, and followed up with a leather conditioner.

9.      Q-Tips – Use Q-tips to clean your air vents. Dry swabs will gather dirt and grime caught in your air vents.

10.  Mustard Powder – Mustard powder will eliminate odors and kill fungus trapped in the vents. Mix warm water and the powder then spray directly into your air vents. Run the heater on high for several minutes.

We Repair Windshields!

Posted 10/10/2013

Save Money and Protect Your Windshields’ Integrity!

Do you have a rock chip in your windshield?

We can fix that! Our WacoTemple, and Brownwood locations offer windshield repair at little, or no cost to you! Walk-Ins welcome! Come see us for your quick, safe, effective, and affordable solution to windshield repair!

Be wary of the weather!

Right now is the most important time of the year to take preventative steps in protecting your windshield. Save money by getting your windshield repair done now, instead of completely replacing your windshield later.

Small rock chips left unrepaired have the potential to grow into a much larger problem.  Temperature change is the leading cause of expanding windshield cracks. Cold weather not only changes the structure of glass, but the metal frame surrounding your windshield. The expanding and contracting of these materials causes small cracks to spider out and become larger.

Tips on stopping cracks from expanding:

2)      Use an auto-glass specialist like we have at Baird Brothers Express!

3)      Avoid parking in the sun.

4)      Don’t blast your car’s AC or use your defroster on high.

5)      Avoid slamming car doors with windows rolled all the way up.

If the crack is longer than 12 inches, or chip is larger than a quarter, you will have to have your windshield replaced.
